This code is a modified version of the statutes made at Enham in 1008. The code survives in both Latin and Old English versions. In content, the variations from the statutes of the council at Enham include an amplification of the rejection of heathendom, a provision for Church-scot, and an elaboration of naval preparations. The Latin version alone identified the synod responsible for the decrees, and the fact that Archbishop Wulfstan wrote down what King Æthelred II (r. 978-1016) had decreed.

It was translated into Latin c.1100: see Quadripartitus.
