This manuscript, dating from the early thirteenth century, contains the Chronica of Roger of Howden detailing the history of England from 732 to 1180. The history is followed by a number of legal texts, including the assizes of Clarendon and Northampton. The manuscript was possibly Howden’s working copy and it has been suggested that the marginal notes may be in the author’s own hand.
