MS Harley 1704

The medieval portion of this manuscript holds two legal texts travelling in a single quire.  One text is the only surviving copy of the entire Consiliatio Cnuti; the other is a witness to the second version of the Leges Edwardi Confessoris.  A third text, a copy of the 1225 issue of Magna Carta, was intended to accompany these, but only the title was added.  Both texts were written by the same scribe in the early 14th century.
