In this manuscript
The first part of this manuscript (fos. 3-57), containing among its texts I-II Cn and Af-Ine, is about fifty years later than the second part (fos. 70-177), containing texts such as I As and V Atr. The texts in the second part all date from the early eleventh century and have a close association with the works produced by the circle around Archbishop Wulfstan of York (1002-1023). The Nero manuscript is the earliest extant English law book that is pocket sized and it was clearly intended to be carried around.
