This manuscript contains, among other things, some letters of Gilbert Foliot (bishop of London 1163-87), a number of documents pertaining to the Becket dispute and William Fitzstephen’s description of London. The manuscript bears similarities to another manuscript found in the Bodleian Library, MS E. Musaeo 249, and they may have been produced from the same primary collection. It dates from the late twelfth or early thirteenth century.
