Cotton Charters XIII, no. 31A

This single sheet is the only one of four extant copies of the Magna Carta, issued by John (1199–1216) in 1215, to have its seal intact. The manuscript was damaged in a fire whole part of the collection of Sir Robert Cotton (1571-1631), and is now almost illegible.
