This manuscript, also referred to as the Red Book of Darley, is a composite with the first part containing a mid-tenth-century copy of the Old English Dialogues of Solomon and Saturn and the second part containing a number of eleventh-century liturgical texts, including the prayers for sins and ordeal manuals reproduced here. It seems likely that the liturgical part of the manuscript was produced at either Sherborne or New Minster, Winchester, in the 1060s.
