MS Arundel 35

This manuscript, dating from the twelfth century, contains the text of William of Malmesbury's De Gestis Regum Anglorum. It was in the collection of Thomas Dackomb (1496-c.1572) before coming into the possession of Thomas Howard, 1st earl of Norfolk (1557-95). It formed part of the donation to the Royal Society by Henry Howard, sixth duke of Norfolk (1628–84), which in turn was acquired by the British Museum in 1831.
