VI Æthelred Latin paraphrase (VI Atr Lat)
This code is the Latin version of a modified version of the statutes made at Enham in 1008. This version alone identified the synod responsible for the decrees, and the fact that Archbishop Wulfstan wrote down what King Æthelred II (r. 978-1016) had decreed. In content, the variations from the statutes of the council at Enham include an amplification of the rejection of heathendom, a provision for Church-scot, and an elaboration of naval preparations.
The code also survives in Old English, see VI Æthelred.
