Æthelstan’s Thunderfield code (fragment) (IV As)
This fragment survives in one manuscript only; the twelfth-century compilation known as the Textus Roffensis. The short text contains the same measures as clause six of the Latin version, although the Old English text is written in first person plural while the Latin version is written in third person singular. It is thus possibly that this fragment represents a different recension of the original than the Latin version.
