Æthelstan’s Thunderfield code (IV As Latin)
This text survives only in the twelfth-century legal collection known as the Quadripartitus. It seems likely that it came out of a meeting at Thunderfield in Surrey and was drawn up as a response to a number of other ordinances, including those promulgated at Grately and Exeter.
